Class 2 recently enjoyed an exciting visit to Tesco, where they explored the world food aisle and became food detectives for the day!

The young people were challenged to investigate food packaging, looking carefully for dietary and religious labels and symbols. They discovered how packaging can provide important information to help people make informed choices about the food they buy and eat.

The activity encouraged the young people to develop their observation skills, think about the different dietary requirements people may have and recognise how food choices can be influenced by religious beliefs and personal needs. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring classroom learning to life in a real-world setting.

Coincidentally, the visit took place on Hello Yellow Day, when our young people wore yellow to raise awareness of mental health and support YoungMinds, a charity dedicated to supporting young people's mental health. 💛

It was lovely to see our young people taking part in the day while continuing to develop their knowledge, curiosity and understanding of the world around them!
