Pastoral
Our Pastoral Team is here to support every young person’s wellbeing, helping them to feel safe, happy, and ready to learn.
We understand that young people sometimes face challenges that can affect their emotional health, friendships, or confidence - and we’re here to help.
A pastoral concern is anything that relates to a young person’s general wellbeing or social and emotional needs, but does not suggest they are at immediate risk of harm. These concerns can often be managed within school through support, encouragement, and regular check-ins.
You can contact the pastoral team if your young person:
-
Is having friendship difficulties or falling out with peers
-
Seems unusually quiet, withdrawn, anxious, or low in mood
-
Is finding it hard to keep up with schoolwork or feeling stressed about exams
-
Is often late or struggling with attendance
-
Has experienced a family bereavement or significant change at home (such as divorce or moving house)
-
Appears to have low self-esteem or confidence
Please contact the office who will pass your concerns to the Pastoral Team and class teacher. office@fairmeadschool.com
