Values and Ethos

At Fairmead, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment in which every young person can achieve their full potential.

Our commitment to high-quality teaching ensures the development of lifelong learning skills, self-esteem, and the celebration of individual success.

The school adheres to the philosophy of equal access to educational opportunities through the National Curriculum, offering suitably differentiated programmes of study tailored to meet the individual needs of each young person.

Our teaching and learning approaches reflect the ethos established by the Governors and staff, fostering a calm and cooperative atmosphere conducive to work. Our school’s behaviour expectations, outlined in the School Behaviour Policy, promote mutual respect and consideration for all members of the school community, including the young people, staff, Governors, and parents/carers. This policy, developed collaboratively with

stakeholders, underpins our consistent and high expectations for everyone involved with the school.

Fairmead School values strong partnerships between staff, parents/carers, and professional agencies to ensure that each young person receives the support they need to succeed. The school’s philosophy is built upon offering an appropriately challenging and stimulating curriculum, where young people realise their potential and achieve the best outcomes. Our young people’s progress is supported through personalised learning programmes, enhanced by a variety of extracurricular activities.

The school strives to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where both young people and staff are encouraged to reach their fullest potential.

Mission Statement: “Together, we create opportunities for everyone to maximise their potential and celebrate their success within a warm, caring, and stimulating environment.”
