Class 5 Care Home visit

As part of their Enrichment Community Project, Class 5 had the wonderful opportunity to visit a local care home and spend some special time with the residents.
Over the past few weeks, the young people have been busy creating a beautiful Autumn wreath especially for the residents. They carefully worked together to design and make the wreath, thinking about the colours and features that represent the Autumn season. On Friday, they were delighted to deliver their finished creation and present it to the residents.
During their visit, the young people also enjoyed sharing one of their favourite activities with the residents by reading some of their favourite books aloud. It was lovely to see the young people and residents chatting, listening and enjoying each other's company.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for Class 5 to develop connections within their community, practise their communication and reading skills, and experience the joy that comes from giving their time to others. We are very proud of the kindness and enthusiasm they showed throughout the project.
