From Seasons to Sunshine: Squirrels Explore a Changing World

Squirrels have been exploring “Changes in the World” through different areas of science. They began by learning about the four seasons, noticing how trees change throughout the year, such as leaves growing, changing colour, and falling. They also talked about how to recognise each season and what clothing is suitable, like wearing coats in winter or lighter clothes in summer.

Next, they explored the weather, discussing what rain and sunshine feel like. They compared the weather across the week, helping them understand that weather can change from day to day.

They then learned about the sun and the sky, including where the sun is during the day and what happens at night. They talked about daytime and night time activities, understanding that we are awake and active during the day and rest at night.
