Fairmead athletes strike gold at Millfield

There were celebrations all round as a team of young people achieved an outstanding gold medal at a recent athletics event held at Millfield School in Street.

Competing against other schools, our young people demonstrated determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the competition. 

Every member of the team gave their very best effort, encouraging one another and proudly representing Fairmead School. Their positive attitude and commitment resulted in a fantastic team performance, earning them first place and a well-deserved gold medal. 

Sport plays an important role in developing confidence, communication and perseverance, and our athletes demonstrated all of these qualities during the event. Their success is a reflection of the hard work they have put into developing their skills throughout the year.
