Cricket skills day inspires future players

Although the first scheduled cricket competition had to be cancelled because of the weather, our young people certainly didn't let the rain spoil the fun.

Instead, we welcomed Ben and Sean from the Somerset Cricket Foundation, who visited school to deliver an exciting cricket skills session. 

Ben and Sean introduced a range of activities designed to develop batting, bowling, catching and teamwork skills. The session was packed with energy, encouragement and plenty of opportunities for everyone to improve their confidence while trying something new. 

The visit highlighted the importance of staying active, learning new skills and enjoying sport regardless of the weather. The young people demonstrated fantastic enthusiasm throughout the session and had a brilliant time developing their cricket techniques.
