Making memories

Reading zone

We would like to warmly welcome all members of Fairmead School’s learning community to our new Reading Zone!  At Fairmead we place great importance, not only on our children and students learning to read independently, but on the enjoyment they are able to take from the experience of reading.  The Reading Zone is therefore dedicated to the pleasure of reading and offers links to a number of great sites where children, students and family members can:

  • share free e-books that are matched by interest to different age groups;
  • listen to authors and celebrities read from well known books;
  • find out about the latest releases and the most popular books for different age groups;
  • join the online library and gain access to loads of exciting, free e-books and audiobooks.

All you need to do is click on any of the website links below or photograph one of the QR codes on your smart phone to be taken to a range of different reading websites. Have a fab time exploring and let us know how you get on!

 A personalised literacy environment that gives students access to more than 6,000 enhanced digital books. All Fairmead students have access and a login to this site. Please contact the school if you need a                                                  login reminder  myON®
