The young people in Class 1 have been extending their learning beyond the classroom by exploring both their school community and the wider world around them. During recent visits outside of Fairmead, they observed a range of professionals at work and gained valuable insight into the different careers within our local community.
Back at school, learning continued as the children explored the many roles and responsibilities that help Fairmead run smoothly each day. They began by sharing their own ideas about what adults at Fairmead might do in their roles, with wonderfully imaginative suggestions ranging from using laptops to playing with dinosaurs!
Class 1 particularly enjoyed speaking directly with professionals, asking thoughtful questions, and discovering what people enjoy most about their jobs. One aspiring zookeeper was especially eager to share her knowledge of animals and pets, much to everyone’s delight.
